Jacob Hotchkiss

Author, pastor, husband to Kayla, and father of two, in Springfield, Missouri.

Jacob is the founder of a growing network of house churches and is deeply passionate about restoring the American Church. He is a preacher at heart, with an uncompromising zeal for the truth, and he aims to go up against the predominant narratives in the Church today.

He was a preacher and teacher inside the institutional church, and halfway through seminary, when he realized that no one there, himself included, understood how the finished work of Christ actually brings about its intended effect. In 2020 the Lord opened his eyes to the things he now writes about, and what changed his life then changed the way his church works. He left the system to help start house churches where every member functions, and he has pastored there since.

His books are published by No Longer I Media LLC, the small company he runs himself. No Longer I was first published in 2020 and rewritten as a second edition in 2025. Unless God Builds It followed in 2026. The Seedling, a picture book illustrated by his friend Casey Dye, released in 2025.

Everything he writes is also free on Edify, his newsletter, because things pertaining to God's word should be accessible somewhere for free.
